The Colour of the year

In December 2017, the Pantone Color Institute released its spring 2018 colour trend report, predicting the shades we can expect to see from fashion designers in upcoming collections, and interior design trends and accessories.

Some of the more interesting colours include:

Arcadia, a mild emerald/aqua green; Cherry Tomato, a bright and orange-hued red; Spring Crocus, a fuchsia-lavender cross; Lime Punch, a serious neon yellow with greenish undertones (love); Blooming Dahlia, a beautiful coral-toned pink; and Sailor Blue, a true and rich navy.

But The Institute’s selection for colour of the year is Ultra Violet (second row, far right) “a purple shade that’s sure to prompt passionate discussion among design pros and enthusiasts.”

We’re not quite sold.
