While half of team Merenda shivers and endures the cold back in Toronto, a few of us are here in Naples…working, yes, but after 5, all bets (and phones) are off.<\/p>\n

The photo above was taken near old Naples Pier \u2013 a magical and well-known relic dating back to 1888. It was originally used as a passenger and commercial freight dock.<\/p>\n

Hurricanes and fire have ravaged the old wooden structure over the years, and it’s been rebuilt a few times since. But it’s still got so much character.<\/p>\n

And it’s a must-see if you’re ever on vacation in Naples.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/p>\n

The pier\u2019s a primary focal point on the waterfront here, and it’s also hands-down THE best place to get the clearest view of magnificent and breathtaking sunsets without any obstructions.<\/p>\n

Small wonder this structure is one of the most photographed of all Naples attractions. And if you’re patient, you might also see dolphins, manatees and a pelican or two. Or six.<\/p>\n

These views and this weather make it difficult to want to leave…But we’re here for a few more weeks, yet. Working on a few things that we can’t wait to show you this year.<\/p>\n
