The sunsets are better in Florida

While half of team Merenda shivers and endures the cold back in Toronto, a few of us are here in Naples…working, yes, but after 5, all bets (and phones) are off.

The photo above was taken near old Naples Pier – a magical and well-known relic dating back to 1888. It was originally used as a passenger and commercial freight dock.

Hurricanes and fire have ravaged the old wooden structure over the years, and it’s been rebuilt a few times since. But it’s still got so much character.

And it’s a must-see if you’re ever on vacation in Naples.

Why?

The pier’s a primary focal point on the waterfront here, and it’s also hands-down THE best place to get the clearest view of magnificent and breathtaking sunsets without any obstructions.

Small wonder this structure is one of the most photographed of all Naples attractions. And if you’re patient, you might also see dolphins, manatees and a pelican or two. Or six.

These views and this weather make it difficult to want to leave…But we’re here for a few more weeks, yet. Working on a few things that we can’t wait to show you this year.

In the meantime, we’re pulling up a chair, pulling up a 🍺 and signing off.
